About Us
our mission is deeply rooted in the principles of faith, stewardship, and compassion. As stewards of God's creation, we are dedicated to promoting Agriculture Education and providing animal sanctuary through Livestock Rescue, guided by biblical values and teachings.
At Rooted Acres, we draw inspiration from scripture and the teachings of Jesus Christ, recognizing the importance of caring for the earth and all living creatures. Genesis 2:15 reminds us of our responsibility to "tend and keep" the garden, emphasizing our role as caretakers of God's creation.
Rooted Acres is a 501(c)3 non-profit , faith-based organization dedicated to agriculture education and livestock rescue, serving both urban and rural communities. Our purpose is to bring the farm experience to children in any group or school setting, churches, nursing homes, and community events for hands-on educational opportunities that showcase God's creation. Additionally, we assist in the rescue of livestock that are unwanted or unable to be cared for properly until an adoptive owner is found.

REscue stories
rabbit hoarding
David
We were given an opportunity to help with a situation where many
rabbits were living in a garage and multiplying rapidly.
Inspired by Proverbs 27:23, 'Be sure you know the condition of your flocks,'
we brought 20 to the farm,
nursed them back to good health, and now they are ready for adoption,
looking for their forever homes.
When a dear friend faced the unexpected birth of a baby goat, one whom its mother could not nurse, and life seemed overwhelming, we leapt into the fray to save him. Despite our fervent efforts over several days, it was not enough. The little one passed in our arms, enveloped in love.
El diablo
This goat came in with the donkeys, fearful of humans due to the owner's situation. Inspired by Isaiah 40:11, 'He tends his flock like a shepherd,' we are gently working to earn his trust so he can find a loving forever home.
The donkeys
"When an owner could no longer care for these donkeys due to health issues, we were trusted to take them in and find them the best loving home we possibly could, which we have done. As Proverbs 12:10 reminds us, 'The righteous care for the needs of their animals,' and it is with this spirit of compassion and responsibility that we have undertaken this mission."
